This clip point Hunter is forged from 8670 tool steel with a flat grind, hand rubbed finish with forging marks and a tapered full tang. It is comfortable in the hand, lending itself to be an easy carry and full time user. The handle is assembled with stabilized Tasmanian Blackwood with black G10 Liners with nickel silver pins. Full tang. 4 5/8 inch blade, 8 1/2 inches overall and 3/16 inch spine at the thickest. 8670 steel. Forged.
It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, a black zipper pouch, and a custom right-handed dyed brown leather sheath that has been hand stamped and sewn by the Makers lovely wife, Cindy Akin.
About the Maker: Ben Akin has been making knives since 2014 and is a voting member of The Knifemakers' Guild. He has won awards throughout his career for his bowie, chef and hunting knives and has a bowie knife featured in Blade magazine March 2024 edition. He is a member of the Idaho Knife Association, Montana Knifemakers' Association, Midwest Knifemakers' Guild, and is an Apprentice in the American Bladesmith Association.
