This Hunter is forged from 5160 high carbon steel, flat ground, scotch brite belt finish and 1/8 inch thick full tapered tang construction blade. The handle is 5/8 inch thick at the thickest, contoured to fit the hand nicely. The handle is assembled with stabilized Green Maple Burl with three 1/8 inch pins. Full tang. 5 inch blade, 9 1/4 inches overall. 5160 High Carbon steel. Stock removal.
This knife was a collaboration between Murray Chapplle and Journeyman Smith Jonathan Caruso.
This knife comes with a one piece leather drop sheath.
About the Maker: About the Maker: Jonathan Caruso is a Forged in Fire champion and a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society. He retired from the United States Marine Corps and now works at his home forge in Arkansas and is co-owner of Arkansas Knife Shop. He has been making knives since 2013.
