This hunting knife was crafted using the stock removal method from San Mai steel forged by the maker. The steel is constructed from a 1080 core and 15n20 cladding. The blade measures 4 1/16 inches long, 1 7/16 inches wide, and 3/32 inch thick just before the handle with a gradual taper to the tip. The handle is constructed from stabilized Curly Mango with maroon G10 and vintage Micarta liners and stainless steel hardware. Overall the knife measures 8 5/16 inches long. Hunter, San Mai high carbon steel, Full tang, Forged, stock removal profile.
This knife comes with a right handed dark brown drop sheath with a stamped basket weave pattern from Arkansas Knife Shop.
About the Maker: About the Maker: Jonathan Caruso is a Forged in Fire champion and a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society. He retired from the United States Marine Corps and now works at his home forge in Arkansas and is co-owner of Arkansas Knife Shop. He has been making knives since 2013.
