This Damascus Hunter is forged in a San Mai fashion with the Damascus being the core steel and nickle and high carbon steel as the jacket. The blade has a half flat grind, acid etched finish and is hidden tang. The handle is Maple burl with a single 1/8 inch brass pin. Hidden Tang, 1/8 inch thick on the spine, 5 1/2 inch blade and 10 1/4 inches overall. Damascus San Mai steel. Forged.
It comes with a right-handed tooled drop pouch brown leather sheath made by the maker.
About the Maker: Leonard Hynum Jr. is from Wilburn, Arkansas and has been bladesmithing since 2021. He is a regular member of the Arkansas Knife Guild where he has learned much of his smithing knowledge and skills.
