Damascus Bowie (1084/15N20) w/ African Blackwood

This take down Damascus Bowie is forged from 1,500 layers of 1084 and 15N20 high carbon steel. The pattern is a beautiful Mosaic feather pattern that has a deep dark etch on the blade that shimmers and glistens in the light at different angles from the layers of pattern welded steel. The blade is forged in a classic bowie style with a double clip.

The handle, starting with the guard, is a flat tear drop shaped damascus guard followed by a blued 1/4 inch thick mild steel and nickel twist Damascus spacer that ties into the blued mild steel and nickel twist pattern Damascus coffin shaped frame with file worked titanium liners and African Blackwood scales. It is secured with 6 1/16 inch pins and Damascus pommel nut. Blade length is 9 1/4 inches and 13 3/4 inches overall. 

About the Maker: Nick Orr is a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society. He works part time out of his home forge in Longview, Texas and full time as a paramedic.
