This blacksmith knife (X-Rhea style) is forged to a final shape/profile with a brute de forge finish from a single piece of 1080 high carbon steel with a distal tapered drop point blade, flat ground, skeleton framed handle that has been tenoned back to the main frame for a solid feel in the handle. The handle is 5/16 inch at the thickest and shaped to fit the hand nicely. Full tang. 2 3/4 inch blade, 5 3/4 inches overall. 1080 high carbon steel. Forged. Flat ground.
It comes with an ambidextrous black leather sheath with a pocket clip made by the maker.
About the Maker: Grant Nabity has been serious in his knife making since 2021. He is from Tescott, Kansas and is currently an ABS Apprentice Smith and a board member of the KCKA (Kansas Custom Knifemakers Assoc.) with aspirations of becoming a Journeyman Smith in the ABS. His primary style of knife is kitchen and hunting knives with a emphasis on the Brute De Forge style. He enjoys forging as close to finish as possible.
