This Hunter is forged from 1080 and 15N20 high carbon steel with a laddered pattern. It is flat ground with a squared spined that is 5/32 inch and is a full tang construction. The handle is 1 inch thick and is shaped to fit the user's hand. The handle is constructed of figured walnut with three 1/8 inch brass pins and a lanyard hole. Full tang construction, 4 inch blade, 81/4 inches overall. Laddered pattern Damascus of 1080 and 15N20. Forged.
It comes with a drop leather sheath made by the maker.
About the Maker: Ken Markley has been forging since 1988 and became a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society in 1997. He started as a blacksmith creating ornamental pieces but his passion is making hunter, kitchen, and utility knives in both carbon and Damascus steel.
