This Dagger is stock removal from 1095 high carbon steel, flat ground with a double with a fuller down the middle for weight reduction. The handle is a hidden tang construction fitted with an steel guard and pommel and a hybrid black Walnut and black Resin handle. It fits the hand very comfortably and is balanced well at the front of the ricasso. Hidden tang. 12 5/8 inch blade, 18 3/8 inch overall. 1095 High Carbon. Stock Removal.
This dagger was made for the 2nd Annual Arkansas Knife Guild Cutting competition held September 28th in The Village @ Pickles Gap with the maker wielding it for the competition. The maker was awarded 2nd place after it came down to a very close tie breaker.
It comes with a custom light tan dyed leather sheath with belt made by the maker.
About the Maker: Mike Forbush retired in 2018 and after watching several Forged in Fire episodes, he decided to tackle a new hobby. He is an active member of the Arkansas Knife Guild.
